Meet the Professionals at Alltech Prosthetics
An accomplished and proficient prosthetist with specific expertise in lower extremity prosthetics, Joel has been in the prosthetic industry for over 25 years. Before becoming a prosthetist, Joel was involved in the fabrication and design of prosthetic devices. He has extensive experience with microprocessor knees, including:
- Genium Mircroprocessor
- The C-Leg
- The Compact knee
- The Rheo knee
- The Total knee
- The SLK knee.
The combination of Joel’s skills and experience makes it possible for him to offer superior design and development of prosthetics for amputees. Joel is a certified through the American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics and licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. He spends his free time with his three children; enjoying golf, baseball and family time.
Jory has over 15 years of experience as a prosthetist and an additional 10 years of experience on the technical side of the prosthetics industry. His knowledge and experience makes it possible for Jory to match technologically advanced prosthetics to the needs and abilities of his patients. His unique perspective helps him to educate his patients on the prosthetic components best suited to their individual situation. Jory is licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and is certified by the American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. Jory spends much of his time away from work with his two children. He enjoys all types of sports; including weight lifting and wake boarding.
Shelly brings 22 years of healthcare management experience to Alltech. Prior to joining Alltech, Shelly worked in many local physician and physician management groups, where she successfully managing the ever changing issues associated with healthcare including:
- Insurance reimbursement
- Insurance claim follow-up and appeal
- Medicare standards compliance
- HIPPA compliance
- And more
Additionally, Shelly’s expertise includes: billing, AR/AP, staff development, policy/procedure creation, and policy/procedure implementation Her knowledge of healthcare administration enables Alltech to stay up to the moment in all matters related to insurance billing and appeal, compliance regulation and practice management challenges. Married to Joel, Shelly also enjoys reading and spending time with her family; most often cheering on her three children as they engage in baseball, golf, and family fun.
April spends her time with Alltech developing the relationships needed to provide the superior patient care that Alltech is known for. She works closely with physicians, therapists, nurses and social workers, to educate them in all matters related to:
- Prosthetic limbs
- Orthotic and bracing devices
- Diabetic footwear
- Foot orthotics
- Post-mastectomy products
Forming these close knit relationships is what allows Alltech to seamlessly care for patients. April’s experience has taught her that interacting, collaborating, and involving each healthcare provider is essential when it comes to achieving the best possible outcome for each Alltech patient. In addition to her role interacting with the healthcare community, April is certified by the American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics as a Certified Fitter of Mastectomy. This allows her to offer post- mastectomy garments, breast prosthetics and mastectomy bras to women who have had a mastectomy as a result of breast cancer. As a mother of twins, April spends her leisure time chasing her children. She also enjoys traveling and reading.
David has been in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics for 12 years. His knowledge of orthotics and prosthetics includes extensive experience with unique orthopedic injuries and disorders and pediatrics. David is certified as an Orthotist/Prosthetist through the American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. He’s licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Originally from West Texas, David received a BBA from Texas Tech University. He has two sons and enjoys hunting, fishing and boating in his time away from work.
Dianna is the director of patient care services for Alltech’s prosthetic patients. She coordinates patients, clinical staff, referring physicians, and all of the healthcare providers involved in prosthetic care and rehabilitation. Having Dianna oversee all of the appointments, paperwork and communications related to a patient’s care is one of the things that allows us to provide the seamless care Alltech is known for. Dianna has over 15 years of business management experience, including experience as a business analyst. Her incredible organizational skills allow our patients and our healthcare partners to always be aware of where we are in their prosthetic care. Dianna studied at South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas. She enjoys hunting, cooking, reading and spending time with her husband and three children.
As an administrative supervisor for Alltech, Becky handles all insurance and billing related concerns. The insurance world is ever changing and Becky works diligently to stay abreast of all changes to prevent any disruption of care for our patients. She has an extensive background in healthcare administrative procedure. This experience helps her coordinate all of the financial and insurance matters for our patients. From verification and authorization to claim filing and appeal, Becky assists each patient in understanding and maximizing their insurance benefits. Becky enjoys reading and watching baseball with her husband and three children.
Eric is the laboratory technician for Alltech. Working closely with the clinical staff, Eric builds the prosthetic and orthotic devices for our patients. Once the clinical provider has created the design, Eric takes the necessary information and fabricates the clinician’s design of a prosthetic or orthotic device. Eric uses the clinical information, state of the art technology and his own artistic ability to create functional, well-fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices. Eric also has access to a CAD (computer automated design) prosthetic socket carver to decrease the amount of time it takes to provide a prosthesis.
Eric enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
Scott Odom, Licensed Prosthetic Assistant
Scott joined Alltech in 2013 for training to become a prosthetic assistant. Since obtaining his Licensed Prosthetic Assistant in 2014, Scott has utilized his experience as an amputee to help better understand the challenges that Alltech’s amputee patients encounter. As an above the knee amputee since his teenage years, Scott offers first hand knowledge and experience to amputee patients. This unique perspective allows all of Alltech’s team members to provide better care for their patients. Scott’s background prior to working at Alltech was with a local hospital, working as a therapy technician and a wound care technician.
Scott enjoys being an advocate to amputees, specifically childhood cancer survivors. He spends much of his free time in volunteer programs with Cook Children’s hospital and founded A.B. I.., Amputee Basketball Invigorated, a non- profit stand up basketball organization to help raise money for medical expenses of amputees and cancer survivors.
He enjoys basketball and is passionate about spending time with him family.
